I love this Christian school so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so much!
PCS has established a true partnership with our family in regards to our children’s education.
Providence/ Dundas Calvin Christian School is a place where my faith grew, where strong deep friendship bonds that continue to this day were cemented, and where I learned to walk boldly and confidently in my faith. It is where my children could also grow in the knowledge of God’s love and salvation, learn to be loving ambassadors of Christ and also develop Christian bonds of friendship. And now, it is where my grandchildren are being shaped and molded under Christian leadership and are learning how God cares for them and has a plan for their lives. Praise be to God for His faithfulness from generation to generation!
The teachers have been instrumental in getting our children to where they are today. They’ve been there to help them succeed, they’ve been there to help coach them, teach them, discipline them and be spiritual examples in their lives.
Reflecting back, perhaps one of the wisest moves we’ve made as parents is choosing the PCS community. There’s no doubt we’ve benefited greatly as parents, as a family at large and in ways I’ll never truly understand when it comes to our individual kids.
If God chose to live in community and celebrates its worthiness in scripture, then it makes perfect sense for us to do the same!
Surrounding yourself with godly, Christ-centered people with experience and a different perspective just seems like a fantastic idea when it comes to parenting and living life in general. I suppose the ultimate question has and continues to be for all of us, who will we chose to let that community be?
Thanks to the grace of the Lord, our children are doing well in Korea and they still talk a lot about their previous experiences at Providence Christian School. I’m confident that something very special at PCS has positively influenced their life!
We feel so blessed that God has enabled us to send our kids to an environment where staff members pray openly, love my kids, and teach them subjects in the true sense that all things come from God.

I began teaching Gr. 7 at PCS in 1981 and have taught many wonderful students. They have gone in multiple directions and have become strong Christian citizens contributing all over the world! I was always made to feel welcome here and have witnessed the continuation and commitment of Christian education through a few generations. The Providence community has become a part of my family. I am thankful for the time I have spent here serving this school community.
There is a real sense of Christian community at PCS. Both staff and students are upheld in prayer by many of the families in our school community. Teachers are also supported by parents who volunteer frequently for various activities and work on a variety of committees to help the school run effectively. We are all pulling in the same direction: teaching children from a Christian perspective to help them see the Lordship of Christ in all areas of life and to live a life of service to our God.
First and foremost, I believe each student is a unique image-bearer of Christ, blessed with gifts and talents that he or she is to use to serve God in His Kingdom. As a teacher in a Christian school, I have the wonderful task of challenging and encouraging each student to discern and develop these gifts and talents, whether it be in mathematics, language arts, science, fine arts, or in physical fitness. As I watch each student grow and develop, it is a task that gives me great joy.
I was not raised in the Christian elementary school system so for me growing up, there was school and then there was church. My husband and I have decided to send our daughter to Providence and in doing so, she has been given a common language in all areas of her life that God is love, and He is all powerful. The way my daughter talks about what she has learned, whether it is in math, or reading or how to treat her fellow peers, it is all done through the lens of loving our Lord. It has been beautiful to witness how Providence Christian School is enriching my daughter’s knowledge and love for Jesus.
